If you’ve been around my blog for a while, you’ll likely notice that I think any time of year is a great time to have a wedding. Yes, even in the winter!
When it comes to a spring wedding, you have so many colors to choose from. It can be one of the most exciting (and sometimes overwhelming) decisions you'll make during your planning process.
But I've always believed that your wedding colors should be what you want, not just what's trending on Pinterest. That said, there's nothing wrong with getting inspired by different color combos.
Cozy up, buttercup! I'm sharing some gorgeous spring color combinations that I think you're going to love.
Why Spring Colors Are Kind of a Big Deal
Your colors you choose for your wedding is more than a pretty detail. The right spring wedding color combinations shape the emotional landscape of your entire day, from your invitations to your aisle, florals, signage, and even your cocktails.
I believe that colors tell a story before anyone reads a single word on your invitation. When it's time to pick your wedding colors and decor, taking your wedding season into consideration is a great starting point.
If you're getting married in March, April, May, or early June, you're in luck, because the top spring wedding colors also happen to be some of the prettiest and most versatile hues for your special day.
And with that, let’s see some color combos!
1. Lilac & Peach - The Romantic Dream
Lilac #C8A2C8 | Soft Peach #FFCBA4 | Cream #FFFDD0
This romantic combo sits at the top of my spring wedding colors list. Lilac and peach create an enchanting, elegant mood. Perfect for vineyard or classic garden weddings, this palette shines in floral arrangement, (e.g., lilacs mixed with peach roses) and table linens.
How to style
For your invitations, think watercolor washes of lilac with peach envelope liners. Your bridesmaids can wear flowing lilac gowns while bouquets burst with garden roses in peachy-pink tones.
For decor, I love the idea of peach taper candles in brass holders with lilac napkins at each place setting.
2. Teal & Silver - Ocean and Forest
Teal #008080 | Silver #C0C0C0 | Soft White #F5F5F5
Teal is redefining spring weddings with its “fluid fusion of ocean and forest.” This deep blue-green hue balances calm and vibrancy, making it versatile for both modern and boho weddings.
How to style
For spring wedding invitations, choose matte teal cardstock with silver embossed foliage. Add a pop of white calligraphy for contrast.
I recommend teal velvet table runners, silver mercury glass votives, and lush greenery installations that play off that ocean-meets-forest look. Your bridesmaids will look absolutely stunning in teal.
3. Butter Yellow & Bright White – Spring Delight
Butter Yellow #FFFAA0 | Bright White #F8F6F6| Soft Green #98FB98
Yellow is the heartbeat of spring and summer weddings. It’s a color that’s like the first warm rays of sunshine after a long winter. Picture your bridesmaids glowing in sunshine-yellow gowns.
Against a backdrop of greens and crisp whites, yellow breathes life into every corner, turning your wedding into a joyous event full of light and warmth.
How to style
This color combo is pure joy, and I love it for outdoor weddings. Go for lemon-yellow invitation suites with clean white calligraphy, sunny bridesmaid dresses, and tables overflowing with ranunculus, tulips, and pops of greenery.
White linens with yellow napkins would fit in perfectly.
4. Cobalt Blue & Fuchsia - Bold & Beautiful
Cobalt #0047AB | Fuchsia #FF00FF | Gold #FFD700
Cobalt radiates depth and sophistication, while fuchsia injects energy and fun. These bold choices create stunning group photos and will be sure to draw attention.
How to style
If you're a bride who loves making a statement, then this might be up your alley. Bold shades like cobalt and fuchsia stand out in both formal indoor settings and bright outdoor venues, adding vibrancy to photos.
Go for letterpress invitations in deep cobalt with fuchsia accents, have bridesmaids mix the two shades, and incorporate gold flatware and floral installations.
5. Sage Green & Blush Pink – Romance Forever
Sage #B2AC88 | Blush #FFB6C1 | Ivory #FFFFF0
Soft and serene, sage green and blush pink are classic spring wedding colors that bring a romantic feeling to any ceremony. Sage green's earthy tone goes well with the delicate blush pink, creating a lovely balance that works well in outdoor settings or rustic venues.
How to style
This combination never goes out of style. It’s like the little black dress of wedding colors.
For invitations, try a sage green envelope with blush interior. Bridesmaids in mismatched sage or blush gowns look incredible.
You can also blend multiple shades of green throughout your wedding, like in your bridesmaid dresses, floral arrangements, or table decor.
6. Ivory, Champagne & Gold - Luxe Neutrals
Ivory #FFFFF0 | Champagne #F7E7CE | Gold #FFD700
There's nothing quite like the sophistication of ivory, champagne, and gold. This combo glows under candlelight, giving the essence of modern luxury. It works nicely in both grand ballrooms and intimate garden marquees.
How to style
Style with ivory roses, gold-rimmed glassware, and crystal accents for that luminous, editorial finish. For invitations, go for heavy cotton stock with gold foil details.
7. Lavender & Dusty Blue - Cool Romance
Lavender #E6E6FA | Dusty Blue #6699CC | Soft Gray #D3D3D3
Lavender and dusty blue is like a spring morning in full bloom. Cool, airy, and undeniably romantic. This combination is perfect for vineyard or garden weddings, especially when that spring evening sky mirrors your palette.
How to style
Picture your bridesmaids dressed in delicate lilac gowns, floral arrangements combined with lavender, and soft, glowing lights to enhance the atmosphere. Add some muted neutrals, and you have achieved wedding perfection.
