Elegant spring wedding ideas featuring outdoor ceremony with white chairs, tall floral arrangements, and lush greenery creating a romantic garden atmosphere

It’s so easy to go down the spring wedding rabbit hole. There’s so much to take in!

And here's what I keep coming back to, the weddings that really grab my attention have one thing in common. They really get into the season.

There are SO many gorgeous directions you can take a spring wedding. Flowers alone could keep you busy for hours. And the seventeen opinions from people who mean well…but aren’t getting married.

So I did the digging, pulled some amazing ideas together, and made it easy for you to find what fits your vision.

Because your wedding should be exactly like you imagined it. Let's make that happen!

Pink and White Bouquets

Pink and White Bouquets

There's something about dusty pink roses mixed with white flowers that says spring is here! The combination of pink hues with bright white is one of my favorites because it works with almost any wedding style.

From garden ceremonies to ballroom receptions, it’s so versatile. You can dress it up with garden roses and peonies, or keep it simpler with spray roses and baby's breath. The greenery keeps the bouquet from looking flat or one-dimensional.

If you're worried about your flowers wilting in warmer spring weather, ask your florist about heartier flowers that hold up well. Ranunculus, for example, might look delicate but it’s surprisingly sturdy.

Keep it Light with Flowing Fabrics

Keep it Light with Flowing Fabrics

I say it’s ok to leave behind the stiff sashes and heavy chair covers. Let’s go breezy with fabric that moves with the spring air.

Using lightweight fabrics has a natural softness to it. Paired with white linen tables, and open green space, the whole setup is airy in a way that heavier decor simply can't achieve.

And from a visual standpoint, this look is exceptional. Wide ceremony shots with rows upon rows of draped chairs…your photographer will love you!

Tiered Cakes with Fresh Flowers

Tiered Cakes with Fresh Flowers

Skip the heavy fondant and go for a sculpture-like tiered cake that’s decorated with fresh flowers. The pinks and creams are perfect for spring, and your guests will want to eat it. I know I do! Because a stunning cake should taste as good as it looks, right?

When you're working with your baker, bring photos of the flowers you're using elsewhere in your wedding. That way, everything on your cake can coordinate with your bouquet and centerpieces.

And if you’re looking for even more flair, why not add in a macaron tower? Match them to your bridesmaid dresses, your flowers, or your reception colors for a dessert table that looks like it was styled by a pro.

Garden-Style Table Centerpieces

Garden-Style Table Centerpieces

Low-level arrangements bring the garden to your reception tables. I love how these centerpieces create intimacy without blocking conversation. Your guests can see each other across the table, which is kind of the point of bringing everyone together.

These kinds of arrangements are so great for spring because you can incorporate blooms that are at their peak (e.g., tulips, hyacinths, lilacs, cherry blossoms).

When you're planning your centerpieces, think about height variation throughout the room. While these low arrangements are fabulous, you might want a few taller arrangements on a few strategically placed tables.

Romantic Floral Arches

Romantic Floral Arches

If you want something that’s visually memorable, have a floral ceremony arch. This is where you'll exchange rings and kiss for the first time as a married couple. It makes for such a dreamy backdrop for your vows.

The arch becomes the focal point of your ceremony, and it's in practically every photo from that part of your day. It frames you and hubby as you say your vows, and it gives your guests something stunning to look at as they're seated waiting for the ceremony to begin.

If a full floral arch doesn’t suit you, consider doing a partial installation on just the top or one side.

Take the Celebration Outside

Take the Celebration Outside

After a long winter, spring is practically begging you to move the party outdoors!

Elegantly draped tent structures are both beautiful and practical. Spring weather is gorgeous...yet unpredictable. Having covered shade structures means your guests stay comfortable whether the afternoon sun is blazing or a light breeze rolls through.

It's the best of both worlds really. And there’s nothing quite like celebrating in open air with blue sky as your backdrop.

Bold Pink Arrangements

Bold Pink Arrangements

If you're going for pink, why not go all in? There are so many pinks to choose from. The key to this look is the range of pink tones working together.

Deep magenta hydrangeas alongside blushy pink roses, with lighter petals filling in the gaps. Having a full pink palette gives your spring wedding so much depth and richness.

Work with your florist to build out a mixed-height arrangement strategy for your tables. Taller arrangements anchor the centerpiece, while smaller clusters can fill in the middle and spread down the table.

Soft Pastels Carried All Throughout

Soft Pastels Carried All Throughout

A pastel palette works best when you commit to it and carry it all the way through. I’m talking your invitations, your bouquet, your bridesmaids' dresses, your table linens, your flowers.

When you choose colors and stick to it, your photos look amazing, your space is well-designed, and the whole experience has a through-line that guests notice even if they can't quite articulate why. It's the difference between tons of individual elements and a wedding that’s properly styled.

It’s ok to layer multiple pastel shades together. Champagne, lavender, and cream all play nicely together. The secret is letting one or two colors lead while the others play a supporting role, and making sure that same hierarchy is there from your save-the-dates all the way to your centerpieces.

When the color story runs from the very first thing guests see in their mailbox to the last event of your reception, I say job well done.

Natural Wood Elements

Natural Wood Elements

Balance all those soft florals with natural wood accents, like wooden chairs, wood slice chargers, or rustic wooden signs. I love the contrast.

Wood complements spring's botanical elements. The natural grain and earthy tones create a foundation that lets your flowers really shine. It's also a lovely choice for outdoor spring weddings where you want things to look pretty but not too formal.

Consider wooden farm tables instead of round tables with linens, or use wood chargers under your dinner plates. Even accents like wooden menu holders or a wooden welcome sign can tie this element throughout your wedding in a subtle way.

Statement Bridal Bouquet

Your bouquet is with you in almost every photo. Don't be afraid to go bigger than you think you should.

It's in your hands during the ceremony, in your first look photos, and in all those getting-ready shots. A substantial bouquet elevates every single one of those images.

Talk to your florist about the shape and size that will work best with your dress and your body type. A cascading bouquet wows with a formal ball gown, while a loose, gathered bouquet goes nicely with a simpler sheath or A-line dress. The right proportions is what you're after.

Why Green is the New Spring

Why Green is the New Spring

I love me some pinks and peaches, but what about greens? It’s fresh, it’s spring, and a bit unexpected.

Instead of traditional fabric runners, use a full garland of greenery in the center of your tables. White hydrangeas, white candles, crystal glassware, the entire style stays within a white and green palette and the result is stunning. Clean, airy, and oh so sophisticated.

The beauty of going green is the range you can work with. Eucalyptus, olive branch garland, even different leaf shapes, shades of green, trailing vines. So many options!

Finish each place setting with a simple sprig of greenery tucked into a linen napkin. It ties the whole table together and adds one of those small details guests always notice.
